A new year is approaching & it’s that time of year we all try to cram as much as we possibly can into everyday before the 1st. <—–Guilty. This new year brings a new store & entirely new beginnings for me & my family as we enter 2016.With this new time & being in a new place I always need a boost or motivation, that you just can’t get unless you read & meditate on it. I’m definitely that person that has quotes that I change out on my phone every week. Seriously, it works. It just gives me that new ounce of encouragement, each time. Here are some of my faves:
- “Doubt kills more dreams then failure ever will.”
- “Even the darkest night will end & the sun will rise.”
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
“Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle.”
I constantly have to read these to myself these past few days as I get closer to getting our new store keys on Jan.1st. As many of you have heard, our 2nd location will open on the drag, next to the University of Texas in Austin. My goal is to open first or second week of Feb so keep your ears & eyes open! The great news is R.R. Austin will have its very own IG page so you’ll get to order from any store you’d like!
So many emotions running through my head as I learn this new city, get to know new customers, adapt to the style & trends of the location, & mostly, how the first few months I am working like a maniac & will miss my little faces. I couldn’t do it without the support of my followers who are weirdly these strangers that I deeply connect with & have grown to know & who complete my soul & make what I do so much fun. I love sharing, I love collaborating, & as I make personal changes in my life & for my well-being I will hope to continue to grow with them. When I first started this “blogging” thing I didn’t realize how much I would love to talk about fashion, connections, family, & more. Sometimes it’s probably silly, but I love it & if you have dreams that you want to get started in 2016, don’t let fear or the faces of fear hold you back. You never know what you can accomplish & you’ll probably surprise yourself.
What are your dreams & goals for 2016?
